Ladakh

Ladakh unfolds as a high desert of ochre and rose, the kind of terrain Nicholas Roerich painted during his Central Asian journeys. Bare mountains crowd a thin strip of valley floor. Tempera gives the rock faces their chalky, matte grain. Cold peaks in pale blue and violet press down on sunlit slopes of burnt sienna, while a small white settlement holds the lower edge like a scatter of salt. Thin washes of ultramarine carry shadow across the passes. It belongs in a study or reading room, anywhere that rewards a long, quiet look at high-altitude light.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes. It arrives stretched over a solid wood frame, ready to hang, with the hanging hardware included.

Dust it gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight.

Pick the size that suits your wall and furniture. If you are unsure between two, the larger one usually looks better than expected.

Each piece is made to order and shipped free with tracking, usually within a couple of weeks depending on your location. See our shipping policy for details.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.

As each piece is made to order, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email support@auvrique.com within 7 days and we will put it right. See our refund policy.
