Knostrop Hall gathers the last of the day. Louis Hubbard Grimshaw sets the old Yorkshire manor against a sky going from ember to slate, its chimneys and gables drawn dark against the glow. The stonework reads in muted umbers and greys, windows catching one final amber light. Bare trees frame the left edge, their branches scratched in with fine brushwork, and the still water in front doubles every silhouette.
