Keeps Watch over Alberichs Ring

A gnarled dwarf crouches on a root-wrapped stone, claws curled around the ring as he mutters over hoarded gold. Arthur Rackham rendered the Nibelung in gnarled ink line and muted watercolor wash, moss green and bruised grey pooling where the underground light fails. The serpentine roots twist overhead, dragon coils in miniature, while the dwarf eyes narrow toward some unseen intruder. Every hatched shadow carries his paranoia. A reading nook or booklined study suits the mood, where the ring still whispers and the watcher never blinks.
