Kangchenjunga rises like a fortress of ice, its summit block squared off against the sky in Nicholas Roerich Kangchenjunga. Citadel. The peak reads as architecture, not geology. Layers of cobalt and violet build the massif, tier upon tier, while the snow cover sits thick and unbroken on the upper citadel. Below, foothills darken toward indigo, and a narrow band of pale light separates mountain from heaven. The tempera surface keeps every edge hard, every plane deliberate. A study or reading room with deep walls suits its gravity and silence.
