A horn player tilts back mid-note, shoulders squared against the rest of the band. Jazz Zenészek by Scheiber Hugó captures musicians in full swing, bodies bent to the rhythm. Angular figures crowd the frame, built from planes of deep blue, burnt orange and charcoal. Faces dissolve into masks of shadow while instruments blaze out in gold and red, every limb drawn with the cropped energy of a stage seen from the front row. The angular outlines recall the cut-paper clarity of Hungarian modernism. Hang it where music lives: a listening room, a bar nook, a study lined with records.
