Izvara

A country estate settles into evening under a deep violet sky. Izvara, painted by Nicholas Roerich, shows rooftops and dark trees gathered at the edge of open ground, the land holding the last light. Muted greens and dusty blues dominate the field, broken by warm ochre where the low glow catches a wall or a stretch of path. The trees read as soft silhouettes, their crowns dissolving into the atmospheric haze Roerich built up in thin, layered strokes.
