Interior

A dim room holds its breath in this interior by Olga Boznanska, where furniture dissolves into brown shadow and one pale patch of wall light carries the entire composition on its shoulders. The palette runs through umber, raw sienna, and deep olive, with grey daylight sliding across a plastered surface and pooling where floor meets wainscot. Edges stay soft, almost smudged, the way memory keeps a room. Boznanska built her forms in layered oil glazes, letting dark tones swallow detail while the lit passages stay loose and buttery.
