Indian Village

Adobe houses crowd a terraced hillside in Indian Village, Robert Henri catching the pueblo at midday, sun flattening the mud walls into planes of tan and rust. Henri lays the paint in broad loaded strokes, ochre and burnt sienna sliding wet into wet, a hard blue sky pressing down on the rooftops. Ladders lean at angles. Smoke holes, doorways, a dog asleep in the dust, each caught in a few flicks. A study or a hallway suits it, the earthen palette settling against wood furniture and plain plaster walls, desert warmth held indoors through the year.

A stretched canvas: the image is printed on a cotton-polyester weave (300–350 gsm) and wrapped over FSC-certified wood stretcher bars. A hanging kit is included, so no frame or extra hardware is needed.

Dust with a soft, dry cloth only — avoid water or cleaning products on the canvas face — and keep it out of direct sunlight and away from radiators.

As a guide, a piece hung above furniture should span roughly two-thirds of that furniture width. If you are between two sizes, the larger option almost always reads better on the wall than expected.

Every piece is made to order, then shipped free with tracking. US and Europe/UK orders typically arrive in 4–9 business days; Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore and the UAE in 7–16 business days. A tracking link is emailed as soon as it ships. Full details are on our shipping policy.

Orders within the US, UK and EU are domestic and do not incur customs fees. Orders to our extended network (Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, UAE) may be subject to import duties or VAT set by your local customs authority — these are not collected by us.
