Sunlight filters through a canopy of slender trunks, the ground dissolving into cool shade. In the Forest by Nadezda Petrovic captures a Serbian woodland with bold, loaded brushwork. Paint sits thick on the surface, almost sculptural, moss green pushing against warm ochre where rays reach the floor.
