Himalayas

Peaks behind peaks climb into a field of deep cobalt, snow burning white where the light strikes. Nicholas Roerich titled the scene with one word, Himalayas, and nothing more is needed. Tempera gives the surface its matte, chalky finish, pigment laid in thin dry layers that leave every ridge edge crisp.
