Snow summits catch the first light while the valley below stays sunk in blue shadow. Himalayas. Morning. captures that narrow hour when day arrives from the top down, painted in the cool register Nicholas Roerich made his own. Peak after peak rises in graded bands of cobalt and ice white, the farthest ridges dissolving toward a pale horizon. Thin washes of tempera-like color leave the light itself bare, so the snow reads as pure luminosity against depths of ultramarine. The mountain forms are simplified to their essential planes, monumental yet hushed. A quiet counterpoint for a bedroom or reading nook, where cool tones and open horizon help a room breathe before the day begins.
