Házak Fákkal

Houses and trees share the picture plane in Házak Fákkal, a Hungarian modernist composition by Scheiber Hugó that treats a village street like a built mosaic of color. Roofs become flat planes of burnt ochre and rust red. Trunks stand vertical as dark bars, their canopies pressed into rounded masses of deep green. Chimneys punctuate the skyline, and the foliage catches light in dabs of yellow-green against shadowed indigo. Facades read as simple geometry, each window a small dark rectangle set into warm plaster tones, the whole arrangement balanced with careful, almost architectural rhythm. Suited to a hallway or dining room where its structured greens and earthen reds can carry the wall.
