From Húsafell, Mt. Strútur, West Iceland

Flat-topped and wind-scoured, Mt. Strútur holds the skyline above Húsafell in this West Iceland landscape by Asgrimur Jonsson, where lava fields and glacial river channels meet under a high northern sky. Brushed in thinned oil, the slopes carry bands of grey scree over moss green ground, birch scrub darkening the valley floor. Broken cloud light falls cold across the ridge while a braided riverbed threads pale gravel through the foreground, the brushwork loose enough to let weather lead. A study or hallway with pale plaster walls suits its quiet register; the cool greys read well against limewashed surfaces and plain oak furniture.
