Folyópart

Water slides along a low bank, and the whole riverbank scene hums with color. Folyópart is Scheiber Hugó at his most relaxed, a stretch of shore where Hungarian modernism meets the quiet pull of moving water. Look at the way the current is built from stacked strokes of teal, slate and pale green, each band pressing against the next without blending. Reeds and small trees along the bank turn into calligraphic marks, dark against washed light, while the far shore dissolves into planes of ochre and dusty rose. The brushwork stays loose and deliberate, closer to woven fabric than photograph. A riverside calm like this suits a hallway or a quiet reading corner, anywhere water-colored color can slow a room down.
