Fasor

A row of trees marches across the picture plane in Fasor, one of Scheiber Hugó most memorable landscapes. Trunks lean and straighten like metronome beats, turning a simple avenue into rhythm. Look closely and the foliage breaks into blocks of green, ochre and muted blue, applied with the flat confidence of a designer rather than a plein air painter. The ground reads as banded color, not soil, and the sky presses down in a single unmodulated field. Every element obeys the grid while refusing to feel static. A landscape with this much geometry belongs in a hallway or above a desk, where its ordered rows can set the pace of a room.
