Evening Sun

Low golden light floods a rocky Cimmerian plain in Evening Sun by Konstantin Bogaevsky. Stone shapes catch the last warmth while long shadows stretch violet across the ground. Bogaevsky paints the Crimean landscape as something half remembered and half invented, an eroded kingdom of weathered rock and thin haze. The sky moves from pale lemon near the horizon into deep amber overhead, and every ridge edge glows against the darkening land. Thin brushwork in ochre and burnt sienna builds the terrain, softened by a scumble of dusty rose where the light thins. A study or hallway suits this mood of quiet dusk, especially beside warm wood and aged brass.
