Evening Clouds on the Sea

Low weather builds over darkening water in Evening clouds on the sea, a marine subject by Max Pietschmann in which the last daylight is already going out of the sky. Painted in broad, loaded strokes, the swell carries slate and deep green, while rose and amber light catches the bellies of the heavy banks above. The horizon sits low, leaving one narrow lane where the fading sun still burns. No boat, no shore, no land at all. Suited to a quiet study or a bedroom facing west, where its cool greys and ember tones keep pace with the last light outside.

A stretched canvas: the image is printed on a cotton-polyester weave (300–350 gsm) and wrapped over FSC-certified wood stretcher bars. A hanging kit is included, so no frame or extra hardware is needed.

Dust with a soft, dry cloth only — avoid water or cleaning products on the canvas face — and keep it out of direct sunlight and away from radiators.

As a guide, a piece hung above furniture should span roughly two-thirds of that furniture width. If you are between two sizes, the larger option almost always reads better on the wall than expected.

Every piece is made to order, then shipped free with tracking. US and Europe/UK orders typically arrive in 4–9 business days; Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore and the UAE in 7–16 business days. A tracking link is emailed as soon as it ships. Full details are on our shipping policy.

Orders within the US, UK and EU are domestic and do not incur customs fees. Orders to our extended network (Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, UAE) may be subject to import duties or VAT set by your local customs authority — these are not collected by us.
