Evening at the Sea

Low sun drops toward a darkening horizon and the water takes on the final color of day. Evening at the sea shows Konstantin Bogaevsky treating dusk as a quiet event. Painted in long horizontal strokes, the oil surface carries slate and violet, split by one lane of amber reflection. Headlands sink into silhouette, a thin rose band holds above deepening blue, and the Cimmerian shore goes dim under the last warmth. Even the small waves seem paused.
