Eforie Seashore

Foam slides up a pale strand at Eforie, the Black Sea shallows drawn in thin strokes of zinc white and cool grey. Stefan Popescu sets the horizon low, so the sky does most of the talking. Look closer and the brushwork loosens: wet sand carries ochre reflections, a few bathers reduce to daubs of rose and indigo, and the water itself shifts from milky green near shore to a deeper slate further out. Small puffs of cumulus sit flat against the light, their undersides washed in rose. A calm, sunlit corner for a hallway, a bathroom, or any room that wants a bit of coastal air.
