Early spring

Bare birches stand over ground still patched with old snow, and the whole landscape seems to exhale. Early spring by Pyotr Konchalovsky catches the week when thaw begins to win. Grey meltwater pools in the low ground, mirroring a sky washed to the color of unglazed porcelain.
