Design for the Fabric

Curving botanical forms sweep across the surface in rhythmic waves, drawn with the flat, confident line of Vienna Secession design. Koloman Moser treats this fabric design as pure pattern: stylized leaves and tendrils repeat in measured intervals, each contour weighted so the motif would sit evenly when woven into cloth. Muted olive, deep teal, and warm gold tones alternate across the ground, while fine crosshatching adds texture inside the larger shapes. The drafting is precise yet loose at the edges, showing the hand of a designer thinking in repeats. A hallway or dining room gains real character from a textile study this assured.
