Fields and hills smear past at speed, broken into angular planes of ochre, umber and pale grey. Cubist Relief Landscape Racing By shows Ivan Kliun pulling a Russian avant-garde eye toward the view from a moving window. Faceted strips of tan and slate tilt and overlap, each plane edged with a harder tonal shift, so the ground seems to slide sideways as you look. Warm sand tones sit against cool blue-grey wedges, and the horizon dissolves into a stack of shallow relief like surfaces rather than a single line. Nothing rests; every shape carries the momentum of motion itself. It suits a hallway or stairwell where the eye passes quickly, meeting the image halfway.
