Cloud Study

Towering cumulus masses pile and drift across a pale summer sky, and Cloud study gives the whole field over to weather rather than land. Max Pietschmann lets the heavens carry the composition. Oil paint sits thick in the lit crowns of the clouds, dragged in short, loaded strokes, while the shadowed underbellies thin into washes of grey and violet.
