Chimera with Wings

A winged creature crouches, lion haunches gathered beneath a human torso straining forward into flight. Dimitrie Paciurea shaped his Chimera with Wings as a hybrid caught mid-change, muscle and myth fused in one coiled body. Modeling stays raw and personal. Thumb traces ride each pinion, the membrane stretched between finger bones like tanned hide. Her face is calm, almost classical, while talons grip the base and a serpent tail coils beneath. Deep hollows hold shadow; every feather ridge catches a thin edge of light. Set in a study beside low lamplight, it rewards slow looking, the beast and the woman trading dominance as shadows move across the form.
