Thatched roofs rise above a Polish village, chimneys tilting against a pale sky. Chaty W Grebowie records the rooftops of Grębów as Stanisław Wyspiański saw them, smoke drifting low over the eaves. The drawing leans on line rather than color. Pencil strokes cross and recross to build thatch, timber, and shadowed doorways, while soft washes of ochre and grey settle over the paper. Every cottage sits at a slightly different angle, giving the row a lived-in rhythm. It belongs in a study or reading nook, anywhere that favors quiet, rural subject matter over ornament.
