Carmel Seascape

Surf breaks in long white seams along the headland, and Guy Rose catches the instant where swell turns to spray. Carmel Seascape records that meeting of water and rock. Impressionist brushwork stacks oil pigment in broken, deliberate strokes: cerulean water cut with viridian, the Pacific horizon dissolving into pearl haze, violet shadow pooling beneath the bluff. Salt light flattens the far swells while the near waves carry ridged impasto, every crest holding its own texture. In a reading nook or a bedroom dressed in linen and driftwood tones, it cools the whole room the way sea air cools a porch.
