Cabbage Field with Willows

Rows of cabbages stretch across the foreground, blue-green heads pressed into dark soil. Victor Borisov-Musatov builds the scene around them. Behind the vegetable rows, willows lift pale trunks and grey foliage against a hazy sky, their branches trailing over the garden edge.
