Bridge of Glory

A rainbow arcs across deep blue mountain peaks, its seven colors standing out against cold snow and purple rock. This is Bridge of Glory by Nicholas Roerich, a work of Himalayan symbolism where the heavens meet the summits directly. Beneath the span, the mountains rise in layered ridges of indigo, ultramarine, and pale ice, painted in broad tempera flats typical of Roerich mountain landscapes. The sky is a single wash of luminous blue, so the arc does all the speaking. It belongs in a quiet study or an entryway, anywhere a viewer pauses before a threshold.
