Bord de Seine Enneigé

Snow settles over the Seine, whitening the quays and muting the river to a sheet of pewter. Pierre-Jacques Pelletier captures that hushed Parisian moment in Bord de Seine Enneigé, where winter presses the whole riverbank into stillness. The composition runs along the waterline. Bare trees sketch thin dark lines against a sky of pearl grey, and rooftops beyond the far bank dissolve into cold haze. Muted violets and slate blues pool in the reflections, while small touches of warm ochre mark doorways and lamplit windows along the embankment.
