A knight in fluted plate armor stands guard beside a blank heraldic shield, lance braced, in this Sergey Solomko bookplate made for the collector V. I. Klochkov. Pen and ink work in the Russian Silver Age manner: fine parallel hatching builds the burnished steel, plumed helm, and curling mantling, while small heraldic charges sit inside the shield cartouche. A bookish corner rewards close looking.
