Blossoming Garden

Fruit trees in full flower jostle across Blossoming garden, Pyotr Konchalovsky at his most buoyant in spring. Blush and white petals mass over dark, gnarled trunks under a clear sky. Paint sits thick on the surface, each blossom cluster a dab of loaded brushwork, grass below dragged in short strokes of emerald and sap green. Violet shadow pools beneath the branches while pink-tinged light breaks through the canopy, the whole orchard leaning toward the viewer with Cezanne-like weight.
