Blossoming Garden

Apple and cherry trees lean into bloom, every branch loaded with petals so dense the crowns read as drifted snow. Pyotr Konchalovsky, a Russian post impressionist, titled it Blossoming Garden and painted exactly that. Paint sits thick, pushed with a full brush until each blossom cluster seems to cast its own shadow. Grass green anchors the trunks, blue sky breaks through the white canopy, and fallen petals stipple the ground below. It belongs where mornings happen: a sunroom, a breakfast nook, an entryway that could use an orchard in late April, blossom still drifting.
