Black and White Futurist Forcefield

Wedge-shaped strokes of jet and bone fan out from a central point, the whole surface pressing outward like a wave about to break. Giacomo Balla built this black and white futurist forcefield from pure contrast alone. No color to lean on, so every line does the work. The strokes overlap, taper, and curl at their tips, dense at the core and thinning toward the edges where the paper shows through. Ink sits heavy in some passages, nearly dry in others, giving the field a grainy, breathing texture. A stark study or a hallway with bare white walls suits it best. The graphic punch of black on white asks for silence around it.
