Birch Grove

Slender trunks rise through a wash of young green, bark peeling away in paper-thin curls. Birch Grove by Konstantin Bogaevsky finds grandeur in a modest stand of trees. Sunlight drops through the canopy in broad, silent beams, striping the grass below. Every trunk carries its dark hatch-marks like shorthand, branches fine as wire at the crown. Shadows pool violet on the grove floor while the leaves haze into gold overhead.
