Autumn Sunlight, Öskjuhlíð

Birch and scrub catch the low Icelandic sun across the slopes of Öskjuhlíð, painted by Asgrimur Jonsson in warm russet and pale gold. Autumn Sunlight turns a Reykjavik hillside into a study of late-day color. Brushwork moves in short, loaded strokes: ochre and burnt sienna across the grass, copper foliage against a cool grey sky, long violet shadows pooling where the ground dips.
