Autumn Evening. Domotkanovo

A last slant of daylight crosses a village lane at Domotkanovo, and Valentin Serov sets the whole scene inside that fading amber hour. Low cottages huddle behind bare trees, their walls washed in grey-lilac shadow while the sky above burns down to copper and ash. The brushwork stays loose and quick, almost conversational: wet earth tones dragged across the foreground, a smear of ochre where stubble fields catch the light, thin dark trunks stitched into the cooling air. Serov lets the mud track lead the eye straight into the depth of the picture, past fenced gardens toward a horizon already losing its color. Everything reads as observed in one sitting, before dusk closed. It settles naturally into a study or reading nook, anywhere the day winds down early.

A stretched canvas: the image is printed on a cotton-polyester weave (300–350 gsm) and wrapped over FSC-certified wood stretcher bars. A hanging kit is included, so no frame or extra hardware is needed.

Dust with a soft, dry cloth only — avoid water or cleaning products on the canvas face — and keep it out of direct sunlight and away from radiators.

As a guide, a piece hung above furniture should span roughly two-thirds of that furniture width. If you are between two sizes, the larger option almost always reads better on the wall than expected.

Every piece is made to order, then shipped free with tracking. US and Europe/UK orders typically arrive in 4–9 business days; Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore and the UAE in 7–16 business days. A tracking link is emailed as soon as it ships. Full details are on our shipping policy.

Orders within the US, UK and EU are domestic and do not incur customs fees. Orders to our extended network (Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, UAE) may be subject to import duties or VAT set by your local customs authority — these are not collected by us.
