A San Francisco exhibition hall stands pale under a full moon in this Benjamin Brown night scene, its classical facade picked out in silver against a deep blue-black sky. Cool moonlight washes the arched entrance and columned portico while warm lamplight glows amber in the tall windows, the two light sources meeting on the pavement below.
