Tapered buds cluster along a single stem, each tip sheathed in fine downy hair that catches the light. Karl Blossfeldt isolated the plant against flat paper grey, turning a common shoot into architecture. Every ridge and bristle reads clearly, magnified beyond what the eye usually bothers to see. Silver-grey tones dominate, punctuated by deep shadow between the buds. The composition is vertical and disciplined, all line and repetition, closer to a Gothic column than a garden snapshot. Hang it in a minimalist hallway or above a work desk where its quiet geometry can hold the wall on its own.
