Art Forms in Nature 30

Flat coils of a fern fiddlehead fill the square frame, each spiral nested inside the next like a rolled scroll seen from above. Karl Blossfeldt photographed the young shoot against plain paper, and every hair along the curled stem shows sharp in his magnification. The pale silver-grey ground sets off the deep brown of the coiled crosiers, their texture closer to woven fiber than to plant. One glance reads as geometry; the second reveals a living specimen. It suits a hallway, a reading nook, or a study shelf lined with natural history volumes.

Frequently asked

Yes. It ships fully framed and assembled, with the hanging hardware already fitted to the back.

Wipe the front gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight.

Pick the size that suits your wall and furniture. If you are unsure between two, the larger one usually looks better than expected.

Each piece is made to order and shipped free with tracking, usually within a couple of weeks depending on your location. See our shipping policy for details.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.

As each piece is made to order, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email support@auvrique.com within 7 days and we will put it right. See our refund policy.
