Arroyo Seco

A dry wash cuts through sun-scorched banks in Arroyo Seco, Guy Rose painting the creek bed in warm ochres and dusty sage greens. Golden light pools between the stones while low brush casts long violet shadows across the sand. Loose, broken brushwork describes each grass tuft and sunlit boulder, the oil surface built in quick strokes of amber, olive, and pale lilac.
