Antheor Bay — Canvas

Red rocks plunge into a sea of enamel blue at Antheor Bay. Louis Valtat stacks the Mediterranean shore in thick, sunlit strokes that read almost like laid mosaic from across the room. Pine-dark headlands cut across the top of the composition, their foliage built from short vertical dabs of viridian and near-black green. Below them, the cliffs glow in burnt orange, rose madder and chalky pink, each rock face hatched with visible directional strokes. The water itself shifts from shallow turquoise near the sand to deep ultramarine at the horizon, flecked with white dashes where swell breaks on stone. A narrow strip of pale beach anchors the bottom edge, its sand worked in ochre and cream. Hung in a sunroom, coastal hallway or seaside reading nook, the bay brings southern light and Mediterranean color into any quiet corner that needs warmth.
