A Little Canal in Venice

Narrow green water threads between old brick facades in A Little Canal in Venice. Benjamin Brown chose the quiet back channels, where laundry lines sag and small boats knock against stone steps. Thick strokes of viridian and slate carry the reflections, each ripple pulled in a single loaded pass. Sunlight lands on a plastered wall in warm apricot, and the shadowed water below holds deep ultramarine. The brushwork stays loose and quick, color meeting color wet into wet. Hang it where light shifts through the day, a study or stairwell landing, and the waterway keeps its slow drift going beside the desk or reading chair.

Yes. It ships fully assembled in an oak or ash wood frame with shatterproof plexiglass glazing, and hanging hardware already fitted to the back.

Clean the glazing with a soft, lint-free cloth; apply any cleaner to the cloth, never directly to the piece.

As a guide, a piece hung above furniture should span roughly two-thirds of that furniture width. If you are between two sizes, the larger option almost always reads better on the wall than expected.
