A whitewashed cottage sits low beneath a heavy thatch roof, pale plaster catching late light. The title reads Українська хата, Ukrainian cottage, and Ivan Trush painted exactly that: a home, a garden, a stretch of sky. Sunlight warms the front to ochre while the shaded side holds cool grey.
