March twilight gathers over melting snowfields. Мартовские Сумерки by Vitold Byalynitsky-Birulya holds that hour when day and night trade places. Bare birches rise in thin black lines against a sky of pale lilac and rose grey. Drifts of old snow blush pink along the low ground, and water stands in the thawed hollows, mirroring the last light. Brushwork stays loose and atmospheric, oil pigment pushed wet into wet so the horizon softens at the edges.
