Start with the wall, not the artwork

Measure the wall in inches before you look at a single edition. A 12x15 ft bedroom usually has one long wall of about 15 feet and one shorter wall of about 12 feet, but doorways, windows and wardrobes eat into both. Mark the clear span with painter's tape. If you are torn between two sizes, take the smaller one and hang it lower. An undersized print hung at seated eye level reads as intentional. An oversized one on a short wall reads as a mistake you paid for.
