Swans with necks drawn into long silver arcs drift through a field of curling stems in this wallpaper design by Otto Eckmann, a study in the flowing line of German Jugendstil. Flat planes of sage and olive green carry the pattern, each frond drawn in a single unbroken stroke, while pale blossoms open at the curves like small foamy crests.
