About this work

The Banks of the Eure

Water slips past grassy banks in this riverside view by Gustave Loiseau, the French post impressionist who painted the Eure valley again and again. Willow shadows break the current, and small rooftops peek through foliage on the far shore. Loiseau built his surfaces from short, hatch-like strokes, and here they crowd into reeds, mudbanks, and reflections that wobble across the river. Soft greens and greys carry the scene, with a pale sky pressing down on the waterline. A quiet fit for a study, a reading nook, or a hallway that needs the calm of the French countryside.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.
