A tall blue vase holds the center of the canvas, glazed in shifting tones of cobalt and powder blue that catch an unseen window light. Around it, Józef Pankiewicz arranges the quiet props of a household table: fruit with dusty skins, a folded cloth, the dark suggestion of a second vessel at the edge of the frame.
