About this work

Port of Fecamp

Fishing boats crowd the harbor at Fecamp, masts and rigging drawn in quick, searching strokes against a pale Norman sky. Gustave Loiseau painted the port as he found it, working hulls, wet quays and all. Slate water fills the basin, broken by reflections of ochre and rust red. Warehouses and cliff-side houses stack along the far quay in muted violets and creams, their windows and rooftops sketched with loose, confident lines. Cloud light shifts across the whole scene, the kind of grey-bright Normandy weather that keeps every color hushed. A natural fit for a coastal kitchen, a stairway wall, or any room that wants a window onto the Channel.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.
