About this work

Port of Dieppe

Fishing boats crowd the harbor at Dieppe, masts crossing the sky in a lattice of spars and rigging. Gustave Loiseau painted the port of Dieppe as a working scene, all bustle and salt air rather than postcard calm. His brushwork breaks the water into short, churning strokes, grey-blue flecked with white where the tide slaps against hulls. Along the quay, pale facines and slate roofs catch a cold Norman light, while figures scatter across the docks in quick dabs of color. Smoke thins above the chimneys. Suited to a coastal hallway or a study with maritime books and brass fittings.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — it ships fully framed and assembled, with hanging hardware already fitted to the back.

Wipe the front gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight.

Pick the size that suits your wall and furniture. If you are unsure between two, the larger one usually looks better than expected.

Each piece is made to order and shipped free with tracking, usually within a couple of weeks depending on your location. See our shipping policy for details.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.

As each piece is made to order, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email support@auvrique.com within 7 days and we will put it right. See our refund policy.
